Fall, Finally!

Nov 1: The day after Halloween, it seems like someone flips a magical switch. All of the sudden, the weather turns gorgeous, and I remember what it is I love about this place we live. There is a mad dash to run outside and do all of our favorite activities we've been dying to do all summer. To celebrate the beautiful weather, we went to the dunes. 

This was Colby's first time getting down and dirty with the sand. He couldn't get enough of it! Apparently, it was quite tasty too, since we had to keep pulling it out of his mouth. He preferred it to the slightly charred hotdogs we made:)

Let it never be said that as the fifth, Colby didn't have many pictures taken of himself!

He also had to learn a life lesson - don't look into the wind!

It's a good thing we love the dunes, because we bring back some of them each time we come home. Here you have the pile from Will's shorts alone, AFTER we thought we had gotten most of the sand out in the yard. Hooray for fall/winter in Abu Dhabi!
